Managing Attorney

R. Scott Poerschke is the managing partner of the Poerschke Law Firm, PC. His practice areas include family law, employment law, and civil law. He currently serves as the Vice President for the National Employment Lawyers Association: Houston Chapter.

Mr. Poerschke completed undergraduate degree at Southwestern University. In 2008, he graduated from South Texas College of Law Houston, and in 2009 was admitted to the Texas State Bar.

Heather Davis is an attorney working for The Poerschke Law Firm. Her practice areas include family law, employment law, civil litigation, probate litigation, civil appeals, and corporate law. She is a Credentialed Advanced Mediator by the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association, she is a Texas license Certified Public Accountant (CPA), she is a notary, and she holds Master degrees in Accounting, Business Administration and Human Resources, and Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law. She has worked in the law practice since 2020.

Heather Davis began practicing family law in 2019 as a student attorney for the University of Houston Law Center Civil Clinic Program. Since then, she has helped numerous clients in divorce and child custody cases. She has helped obtain custody rights not just for parents, but also grandparents, aunts, and other concerned relatives.

Heather Davis has also worked in the field of corporate accounting and human resources since 1995 for various companies and across multiple industries including transportation, energy, oil and gas, and waste. As a law student, she worked at WCA Waste in the legal department from 2017 to 2020. As a licensed CPA, and Human Resources professional, she has helped many companies maintain accurate financial reporting and compliance with ever-changing labor and employment laws.

Heather Davis was born in Massachusetts but has lived in Texas since 1995 and considers herself a native Houstonian. She is a graduate of Schreiner University, University of Houston-Clear Lake, and the University of Houston Law Center. She was licensed to practice law in 2020. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Houston Bar Association, the Family Law section of the State Bar of Texas, the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources section of the State Bar of Texas, Burta Rhoads Raborn Family Law American Inn of Court, National Society of Leadership and Success, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, Houston Society of Certified Public Accountants, Society of Human Resource Management, and American Association of Notaries. Heather Davis also holds a Professional Human Resource Management certification from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and has completed Arbitrator training at the A.A. White Dispute Resolution Center.

When she is not practicing law, she enjoys traveling, reading mystery novels, and walking with her Seeing Eye Dog, Brianna. Heather also volunteers, as a mediator for the Dispute Resolution Center, and as a panelist for Tom King Mediation Services conferences.
